At iSDA, we believe that data-driven solutions can transform agriculture, especially when combined with local expertise and on-the-ground support. We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Ecolife in Kitula-Namayumba, Uganda, aimed at launching our Virtual Agronomist AI advisory service for 1,000 maize farmers. This initiative, which began in September 2024, is focused on driving improved yield, quality, and profitability for local farmers while supporting Ecolife’s mission of sustainable agricultural growth.

Our Virtual Agronomist service is more than just an advisory tool; it’s a tailored solution designed to help farmers optimise fertiliser application and adopt best practices for each unique field. Through this service, we aim to empower farmers with practical, data-based insights that lead to year-on-year profit increases and higher-quality maize production.

This partnership also brings significant benefits to Ecolife, which will gain deeper insight into production constraints and more accurate predictions for inputs and outputs. By equipping Ecolife’s entrepreneurs with reliable data, they can more effectively support farmers and grow their businesses.

As we move forward, we will work closely with Ecolife to monitor results, collect data, and continually refine our recommendations. Our goal is to create a model that can be scaled sustainably, impacting thousands more farmers across the region.

This partnership represents an exciting step forward for iSDA and Ecolife in making precision agronomy accessible and valuable to East African farming communities. Together, we’re not just growing maize; we’re growing a future where every farmer can thrive.
